Pray for my Country. Prye Pou Peyi Mwen.
At this point, the whole globe was aware of the unfaithful event that happened Tuesday January 12th at 5pm. Haiti was shook off its core with a earthquake measured at 7.0 For those who don't know, I am a Haitian-American, the first generation in my family to be born in the states. So you can imagine how difficult this week has been for me and my family.
As far as my family, I am blessed by GOD to tell you this: Every member of my family, from both mom and dad's side survived. It took a long time to contact them but one by one they turn up to tell my family that they are alive. However, a lot of their homes are destroyed, along with most of the Haitians. My family live in Port-Au-Prince, which was directly affected. I also feel sad because most of my Haitian friends cannot say the same about their families. Ive been in constant prayer ever since.
To see your home country fall is heartbreaking. I feel like if i was married and got a divorce it wouldnt even compare to the pain we have. But the love and help that we are receiving by basically the whole world is humbling and a huge blessing. To everyone that is praying, donating or helping in any way I thank you and continue to from the bottom of my heart.
As far as me i will do everything that is necessary to help my homeland and my family. People have been calling me left and right to organize events to benefit Haiti. I see it as a mission and will not give up until My country is back.
If you want to help, text YELE to 501501 to donate 5$ to yelehaiti or text HAITI to 90999 to donate $10 to the Red Cross Haiti mission. Donate food, clothes, baby clothes, tampons, whatever you can give. If you want to donate directly to my family, contact me at benzitsp@gmail.com
On our National Flag we have a fact. L'Union Fait La Force.
It means Unity is Our Strength. By that fact we will rise again from the ashes, like a phoenix.
Thank you for your time, your prayers and your concern.

2010 NFL Playoffs
Its simple. You got two teams that coulda went undefeated but in losing streaks. You got a quarterback that got in this without Jessica Simpson, a future Hall of famer in Minnesota, another one in San Diego, A wide reciever that thinks hes mexican by his number, Spygate, Fly Eagles Fly, last year's runner up, and the suprise team with Mark Sanchez....
So.. who you think gonna win the Super Bowl?
Im gonna root for my team. J! E! T! S! JETS JETS JETS! lol

The Leak: Refining, or deafening music?
As you know today in early 2010, chances are if you releasing an album, people gonna be bumping to that ish before you decide a title for the project. As everyone becomes computer-savvy, No mp3, .wav or any other track is safe(unless you know how to protect it)
I'm gonna start from the beginning. JD and Usher did a track together for Usher's upcoming album, "Raymond vs. Raymond" As it happened 90% of the time and to the previous tracks by Usher, it got leaked. JD ranted and complained about it, which he had a right to do. (He even got depressed by it, which i thought was ODin)
Lowkey from UHTN had a response to JD about his opinion bout leaked tracks. Heres the article
http://blogs.bet.com/music/soundOff/jermaine-blows-fuse-about-leaked-usher-collabo/
After seeing one of my musical connects put his two cents i gotta reply. lol. Yes a leaked record has its advantages. I should know. Leaked records are like candy bars to DJs. To some DJs thats all they depend on, unfortunately(thats another story). Leaking a record is great to test the waters. An album can change for the better by the feedback from the public. Trey Songz dropped Brand New. it was wack. did a 180, dropped other records, and now he got the top R&B album. DJs are happy because they got exclusives. People are happy listening to their ipods while driving, eating, fucking, whatever. Everyone is happy.
BUT
There's a lot less amount of dollars in the industry because of this. Any hot LP could hit platinum in the 90s. Now, unless you Weezy, TI, Shady or soon to be Drake, you ain't even going to hit gold. fuck it. not even wood. I mean don't you think thats a reason why a good amount of artists fell off? You can sell 100,000 and unless you got a good percentage of royalties coming back or not a lot of middlemen to pay off, you basically improved your bank account by jus a few digits.
Leaked records can go other places. Why you think a mixtape or an EP is there?
I think if there was a guardog or a sniper on the roof of a studio guarding your label project, you can probably crack gold in a week(that's if you hot in the game of course) and think about it. More money makes more opportunities. If everyone was striking it rich like the 90s (Not NOW. the 90s), it might be a more prosperous industry.
But with all the methods of how a record is leaked......
i think the word exclusive is going to be deleted off of webster's. Mixtapes, EPs, street albums are fine. But can Christmas or halloween goody bags stop with LPs?
oh well...until then imma keep downloading from Lowkey Lol

Drake Unplugged...BEFORE Young Money. in Degrassi.
I got this video from nigel D. and saw this. (For those who don't pay attention, his real name is Aubrey Graham) From what i seen, Drake was DESTINED to shine whether Lil Wayne came around or not. He was very much established from a young age with a lot of talents. I think a lot of people with gain respect for Drake by watching this.
Plus around the 2:15 mark he introduced his book of rhymes, and it amazed me how he stated 'i dont think i'll ever use it"....Life comes in suprises but as a student of the game he was more than prepared.
C'mon Son.....
I know this dont hav shit to do wit Hip Hop but im sayin. we sayin we need to get niggaz outta jail. But the way some of them act....they dont care. So why should we? u wanna laugh? this dude right here beefin with Judge Joe Brown n Judge trashhhhed on him lmaoo! watch!
