Some of you probably heard of my by downloading a mixtape off a website, saw me in the clubs, or heard me on radio. For some of you, it's the first time knowing about me. So to introduce myself, I'm DJ Benz(Benz is actually part of my name). I'm born and raised in Flatbush, Brooklyn so that's forever my home. As of now i reside in the 215, Philadelphia. But wherever the hype and the real is , I'm in the mix.


Shoutout to Big Dev for getting me on the team. It's an honor especially, I've been a constant reader of Hottest since it started. We really going to get the truth, the news, straight out the can, from the block, the clubs, wherever.

Aaliyah Dana Haughton (January 16, 1979 – August 25, 2001) blessed the world with her talent and her charisma that can't be mimicked by anybody. She was about to show the world her absolute full potential(with her album and a new movie ) when God took her far too soon. Today marks nine years but her life is still celebrated today. This year i did four remixes. Personally, I don't think this is my best but it's still worth listening.

To introduce myself in 140 letters or less, Im an up-and-coming DJ outta Philly who spins authentic music but not afraid to speak my mind about real shit that goes down in the hood and elsewhere.
Hopefully this site can grow where i have writers, photographers, and DJs under me reporting the latest and deepest underground events in the city and the nation. i wanna find the next Drake now before you people sign him in 2013. Its about Branding in 2010
