Pffft! You ain't All that!

Lately I've been getting stories through the grapevine on who's acting snobby and who's not in the industry. Ok let me stop playing. I'm been hearing them stories since I was born. I probably was 3 months when I realized Areosmith won't give me the time of day. The question is: Is this right?

I mean, you as a fan support them in every way. You download their music (even if you don't buy them you still ride for them). Ok, some of you still buy their music. You go to their shows. You buy whatever sneaker, perfume or condom they marketing. But do you honestly believe if you see your favorite artist walking down the street, they would give you the time of day? Here's the question again? Is this right?

Flip the script: You been an underground artist for 5 years. You found a crazy beat, made the track and all of a sudden you #1 on the billboard. You're filthy rich. You shining like the sun at 10pm on Broad St and Cecil B Moore(temple univ.) A fan comes to you, overwhelmed that they share the same breath as you. Supported you since day one (or last month, whatever). But when they ask for an autograph you look at them and pass them by like they homeless bums on Market Street. Is this right?

Well...who knows? Maybe the celebrity tried being humane and got robbed or got hurt so now he's being overcautious. Or maybe he doesn't know how to struggle a day in the entertainment business so he thinks the world is given on a silver platter. Or just simply there are too many fans to stop and say hi. If an artist signed every autograph after a show he/she would never leave the venue.

Or maybe he/she can be an amazing artist but a shallow person. Just because he spits crazy bars or sings the high note doesn't mean he/she is Mother Teresa or the pope. Shit, he/she can be the opposite.

(And don't get me started on some artists that charge people to perform for charities, even Haiti. I'll save that as blackmail)

So is it right for a celebrity to snub a fan? I'll leave that up to you.
